My Imperfect Valentine Sweet Romance eBook Vicki Hinze Reviews
Amanda Jensen is working toward making her dream come true of owning her own card shop. She created the verses for her own cards and Jonathan Maxwell, a man she had never met, illustrated the cards for her. It is as if they have a unique connection. Amanda's mother feels her endeavors are ridiculous and wants her to marry Bradley, a successful businessman, but someone whom Amanda just does not want as a part of her future. Amanda's mother also holds the loan on Amanda's shop. Amanda finds a champion in the form of Chatty, a homeless woman, who comes into her card shop daily. Everything hinges on a Valentine's Day part at her shop where Amanda learns that everything is not as it seems. This is a really fun romance story.
My Imperfect Valentine is a about following your dream and how about the imperfection that makes the world work out. It is set in Biloxi, Mississippi which is a bastion of Southern society where mothers rule .Amanda Jensen follows her dream and opens a card shop with her mother’s disapproval. She has three different men who are trying to get her attention. To top it off, Amanda’s card shop is not doing well. To save the shop, Amanda creates Secret Admirer Party around the statue of Cupid outside her store for Valentine’s Day. To get to this point, Vicki Hinze creates a story that is funny and makes you want to see what happens next. Vicki Hinze is a favorite author of mine and she does not disappoint with this story. In complete disclosure, I received a copy with the understanding that I would give an honest review.

I loved this book. When the truth came out it opened her eyes to see what was real.
It might not my perfect, but she found something truly beautiful.
This is a great story. You meet Amanda Jensen, owner of The Card Shoppe and the daughter of a prominent family in their city. She has always wanted a business of her own and now has it, but her mother strongly disapproves. Amanda has a good friend, Chatty, who appears to be homeless, and often walks out with little “baubles” without paying for them. Amanda is dating Bradley Wade—her mother’s choice—but she has no feelings for him and doesn’t want to marry him. In fact, she really can’t stand him, but he’s her mother’s choice and she doesn’t want to hurt her mother’s feelings. Amanda is drawn to Jonathan, the artist who does pictures to accompany the text she writes in cards she sells, even though she has never met him. Then she meets Chatty’s nephew, Max Jones. She is almost instantly attracted to Max, but what about her feelings for Jonathan? Amanda is on the verge of losing her business, which would please her mother no end, but she hopes that her plan for a “Secret Admirer” event on Valentine’s Day right outside her store will save her hopes and dreams (her store). The evening is a great success for several couples who meet through Secret Admirer invitations and it’s a success for Amanda’s business. Jonathan invited Amanda to this event and Amanda invited Max to the event, but wait to see what happens when it seems both men have stood her up. There is a wonderful ending to this love story, which hopefully you’ll enjoy as much as I did. I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review, which I have given. I would recommend this book to everyone.
